At the level 9 electrical room the riser penetration contains 14 conduits ranging from 1 inch to 4 inches within a 24 inch by 24 inch opening. We have not located a tested system for this combination of penetrant sizes and annular space. Please advise whether an engineering judgement from the firestop manufacturer will be accepted.

An engineering judgement will be accepted for this condition only. Specification 07 84 00 paragraph 1.05 permits an engineering judgement where no tested system exists, provided it is issued by the manufacturer's licensed engineer and submitted for the Architect's record before installation. Submit the judgement before the penetration is closed.
