The sprinkler system is delegated design. The Contractor shall retain a Florida registered fire protection engineer to prepare hydraulically calculated working plans meeting NFPA 13 for the occupancy classifications shown on the drawings. Working plans and calculations shall bear the seal of that engineer and shall be submitted to the Authority Having Jurisdiction and to the Architect concurrently.

Provide quick response pendent heads with a temperature rating of 155 degrees Fahrenheit in all residential and office areas. Provide intermediate temperature heads rated 200 degrees Fahrenheit within 12 inches of heat producing equipment and in all mechanical rooms. Provide dry pendent heads in areas subject to freezing and in the loading dock. Concealed heads with factory finished cover plates are required in all areas with a finished ceiling.

page 1821 13 13 - 3.07Hydrostatic testing

Hydrostatically test each system at 200 psi for two hours, or at 50 psi above the maximum static pressure where that pressure exceeds 150 psi. No loss of pressure and no visible leakage is permitted. Test in the presence of the Authority Having Jurisdiction and the Owner's representative and submit the signed contractor's material and test certificate for aboveground piping.
