Passenger elevators in bank A shall have a rated capacity of 3,500 pounds and a rated speed of 800 feet per minute. Contract speed shall be maintained within 3 percent under any loading condition from empty to rated load in either direction of travel. Floor to floor time for a single storey run of 10 feet 6 inches, measured from start of door close to completion of door open, shall not exceed 8.5 seconds.
Horizontal vibration shall not exceed 15 milli-g peak to peak in either horizontal axis and vertical vibration shall not exceed 18 milli-g peak to peak, measured in accordance with ISO 18738 at contract speed. Sound pressure level inside the car shall not exceed 55 dBA during travel with the ventilation fan running.
Perform a full load, full speed test of each elevator in the presence of the Owner's representative and the Owner's independent elevator consultant. Testing shall include safety device operation, buffer test, governor trip speed, brake test at 125 percent of rated load, emergency power transfer and recall sequence, and a five hour continuous run at rated load with no faults.
