Air infiltration shall not exceed 0.06 cfm per square foot of wall area at a static pressure differential of 6.24 psf when tested in accordance with ASTM E283. There shall be no uncontrolled water penetration when tested in accordance with ASTM E331 at a static pressure differential of 15 psf for a period of fifteen minutes. Uncontrolled water penetration is defined as water appearing on any interior face of the assembly other than water contained within drained flashings and gutters.

Design and size components to withstand the design wind loads determined in accordance with the Florida Building Code, High Velocity Hurricane Zone, for the building height and exposure indicated on the structural drawings. Deflection normal to the plane of the wall shall not exceed L/175 of the clear span for spans up to 13 feet 6 inches, and L/240 plus one quarter inch for spans greater than 13 feet 6 inches.

Provide insulating glass units consisting of a 6 mm heat strengthened outboard lite with a low emissivity coating on surface two, a 12 mm argon filled air space, and a 6 mm heat strengthened inboard lite. Units shall carry a ten year warranty against edge seal failure, obstruction of vision by dust or film formation on the internal glass surfaces, and delamination.

Field test curtain wall areas selected by the Architect in accordance with AAMA 502 at a rate of one test area for every 10,000 square feet of installed wall, with a minimum of three test areas per building elevation. The first test area on each elevation shall be tested before more than 25 percent of that elevation is installed. Failure of a test area requires remediation of the tested area and of all similar conditions installed to that date.
