Contractor submits that the parapet raise directed by ASI-006 constitutes additional work and requests a change in Contract Sum of 84,200 dollars and seven days of Contract Time. Contractor states the parapet was constructed to the height shown on drawing A-501 revision 1.
Rejected. ASI-006 states on its face that the change clarifies the Contract Documents and is issued at no change in Contract Sum and no change in Contract Time. Specification 07 52 00 paragraph 3.04 required a minimum 8 inch base flashing height and directed the Contractor to notify the Architect in writing before proceeding where the parapet height was insufficient. No such notice was given before the parapet was constructed. RFI-014 was submitted after the parapet was in place.
