Specification section 07 52 00 paragraph 3.04 requires base flashing to extend a minimum of 8 inches above the finished roof surface. At the north elevation between column lines 6 and 11 the constructed parapet measures 6 and one half inches above the finished roof surface after the tapered insulation build up. Please advise whether the parapet is to be raised, or whether a reduced base flashing height with an alternative termination detail will be accepted at this location.

The parapet shall be raised to provide the specified 8 inch minimum base flashing height. Reduced base flashing height is not acceptable and would void the twenty year no dollar limit warranty required by 07 52 00 paragraph 1.05. See ASI-006 for the revised parapet detail and the extent of the raise. This is a design clarification and carries no change in Contract Sum.
